Thomas McKeever

Born in San Francisco, Thomas was exposed to technology and its business culture from day one. Educated at UC Berkeley and Stanford Law School, his early legal training and experience was earned at the best law firms in the valley– including Wilson Sonsini and Heller Ehrman and iconic companies like Amazon (Alexa), Sun Microsystems, Dolby, Actuate Corporation, Shutterfly, Docmatter and ClearDATA Networks.

Since 2006, Thomas has been general counsel for public and private companies ranging in size from under $1 million to over $1 billion in annual revenue. 

Tom is the founder of SVTechlaws. He primarily works with emerging technology and health care companies, venture capital funds, multinational corporations, venture studios and family offices. Tom advises clients on their full life cycle, from formation to exit, including working with boards, management teams and investors on their most transformative and every-day transactions as well as operational issues. He applies extensive experience as a general counsel to provide judgment and advice regarding operations, scaling, policy and procedure.
